  11. Following the FAQ from this froup, I set up AmiTCP v4.0, PPP, and
  12. Thor, and am mostly through setting up Grapevine as well.  I have two
  13. problems that I'm stumped on, however:

  15. 1. So far I have two telnet programs, both that came with AmiTCP:
  16. telnet, running in a shell window; and napsaterm.  Between the two of
  17. them I can maintain a tolerable connection to almost anywhere I try,
  18. but each of them fails in some areas.  napsaterm seems better overall
  19. but it doesn't seem to have an option for local echo, and one system
  20. I'm connecting to requires this.  It also seems to make the
  21. packet-oriented nature of telnet even worse, compared to the AmiTCP
  22. telnet program.  The telnet program works in the case that needs local
  23. echo, but on other systems it does odd stuff whenever the system kicks
  24. it into char-by-char mode, making it virtually impossible to follow.
  25. Both programs are a little shy on features.  My search through Aminet
  26. turned up dozens of telnet programs.  Does anyone have any
  27. recommendations?

  29. Alternately I read on this froup that telser.device lets me use any
  30. term program as a telnet.  Where can I find that for anonymous FTP?

  32. 2. AMosaic is supposed to be on Aminet, but I can't find it anywhere,
  33. nor IBrowse, on wuarchive.wustl.edu or ftp.luth.se.  Can anyone
  34. recommend an FTP site that definitely has it in stock?  (I've seen a
  35. WWW address for it, but it seems odd to put a web browser in a place
  36. where you need a web browser to get it.  I could do it if I have to,
  37. via a PC, but it's a pain, especially if the archive is over 720K.)

  39. My system is an A3000 with WB2.04 and a 14.4 modem; I run WB in 4
  40. colors and do not intend to change this.  Is there any preference to
  41. AMosaic or IBrowse for me?
